In this episode, Dhana talks about her sudden transition from a happily y married wife and homemaker to a single mom with two kids and nothing else in hand facing the challenge of rebuilding her family and career from scratch.
We discuss about whose responsibility it is to shoulder a marriage, and when and how do women arrive at a decision to separate from their partners. When looking at life from within their dream marriages, women tend to overlook reality. However, at some point, a moment of awakening occurs, and then they will be faced with the challenge of confronting reality and dealing with it.
For Dhana, that moment occurred after several years into the marriage. But she was still hesitant to make the difficult decision because everyone else in the family and society looked at them as a ‘model family’. It took some time for her to gather courage and choose what is right for her, and then there was no looking back.
Dhana talks about how she navigated through those challenging times taking support from whoever could help her and moved on to rebuild a family life and career that fulfilled her dreams.
